Hanoi - Hoan Kiem lake with ice-cream

Taking an ice-cream and walking with friend around Hoan Kiem Lake** are things that I prefer to do at weekend. Sometimes, go jogging and then take some ice-cream or look for some discount books in Dinh Le street ^_^
Many important events take place around Hoan Kiem lake. Today, 30.12.2011, Tet is coming soon, there is a flower festival just started, I would be there this weekend ^_^

Hanoi - Old Quarter

I met a woman, from Germany with her children, who had lived in Old Quarter during 80's. We were in a car-tour around Old Quarter and she told me a story everytime passing through a street, each street with a specific marchandise. I felt like back in the past. These days, with the market economy, everything seems changin so quickly. In Hanoi's Old Quarter, people from every corners came over for earning a living, Hanoian is no more original hanoi-born, people seems not the same as before, that makes me always nostagie about the past. 
On contrast with the glumbby Old Quarter, there is French zone. During French domination period, Hanoi was like a second Paris, with occidental architecture.



Nowaday, people living in old quarter in small space, some dirty and lack of sunlight, but people stay there for many reason, some for traditional craft business or some for a lifestyle ^_^

Hanoi - Cine Space (TPDmovies)

This place is wonderful for movie-addictive! I just feel so graceful of being a member of Cine Space (TPDmovies). I wish to have enough time to watch all movies collected there, but with thousand and thousand of movies, many with Oscar prizes, I don't believe that I can make it : ))
There are many activities for students who want to learn about cinema industry and to make short films. Every saturday, there is a small conference on a specific movie-theme, with discussion around the filmmaking and directors.
I love Cine Space, I think of having my own home-theater all the time, may I make it come true, I don't know, but I keep this dream in my heart ^_^

Hanoi - West lake sunset & lotus

West lake is one of my favorite places in Hanoi, specially in summer, June and July, with beautiful lotus champs, surrounded by bycicle alleys. Pass though a hot summer time, taking some bycicle tour at late evening is one of the best choice and experience for anyone living here. I wish for a house next to this sea-like lake : D.

Remember stressful time of unemployment, I used to take a bycicle round tour with one and half hour, and I felt much more better. Luckylly, I still can make it every saturday morning, go to work on bycicle ^_^ My office is just next to lotus champs, how am i lucky!

I like fisher man, little boat, red sunset, lotus, and every small alleys along the lake. I want to go picnic every weekend at this place with friends or my family in the future. With these moments, i can trully feel a true peaceful life in Hanoi, let behind all worry and sadness, and see how this life is beautiful and graceful to me.

Hanoi - cabaret music night - l'espace

Every month, there is a "cabaret music night" at L'espace center - with fabulous French-Vietnamese-English songs, all admission is free. I love student-guitarist Son and student-singer Ngoc Han (picture), with beautiful and deep voice. Most singers are students at L'espace, this is kind of talent show ^_^

Espace center is located in the center of Hanoi, just near the Hoan Kiem lake. There are many foreigner tourists pass through here everyday, they are interested in beautiful expositions, and many movie, music and art shows have been organised. I love this place, because of its cultural atmosphere and a big French library ^_^ I love French and want to speak French everyday!

I live in Hanoi

I have lived in Hanoi since 2003, then with two years studying in France and the United States, I was back in Hanoi again, with a different feeling. I love this place so much, it was with me in every moment, happy, sad, disappointed, depressed, and today i'm happy :) (29 december 2011)

I get a good job, it was not easy to get this also, so I am working hard with passion, beside I am setting up my own business also. Before getting this job, I was out of work with no direction, I though I couldn't do nothing good, so I do everything that I wanted, learn embroidery (I have made some for my beloved ones ^_^), learn playing pingpong, go watching movies (then I learn a lot), learning English (my English is a lot better than before), reading a lot of books (then I have a taste of books ^_^), and go discovering Hanoi on bicycle, by this I discovered the hidden beauty of Hanoi, with delightful feeling, and I want to share with you all.

Learning is never enough!
